January 15, 2018
In Minnesota you are pretty much guaranteed to have cold and snow in January & February. And in Duluth we are doing a Cold Front Celebration February 1 – 4, 2018! We love all things in the snow and invite you to experience them too!
The celebration is in Canal Park and includes fun activities for the whole family. Experience the newest craze, fat biking with demos by Duluth Day Tripper. Warm up by the fire pits or enjoy some s’mores. There will be snow classics like sledding, skiing, and ice skating, as well as food and beverage vendors, including craft brews.
We are offering a special discount for this weekend. What could be better than spending the day enjoying our winter and then come back to the Edgewater and warm up in our tropical waterpark?!
Want to come another weekend? There is always a lot of activity in Duluth no matter the time of year. Make your reservations for any time and we will keep the room warm for you!
With the many community ice rinks and Heritage Sports Center, there is always good ice for ice skating. The skiing at Spirit Mountain is great right now. You can check their website for snow depths, conditions, rental information, and hours. You can also enjoy the zip line and alpine coaster. And speaking of Spirit Mountain and snow, did you know you can ride your fat tire bike on the trails? Biking is now an all-season activity in Duluth!
Duluth and the North Shore are full of great trails for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, hiking, and snowshoeing. In addition to the trails, many of the lakes, rivers, and streams are frozen now and can provide scenic views not usually available.
Don’t miss out on the winter fun in Duluth!
