We have Tiki Tom and holiday helpers, we have cocoa and cookies, we have an 80 degree waterpark on a cold winter’s day, and we have the easiest, most fun way to get to Bentleyville at Bayfront Festival Park – the train on Friday and Saturdays provided by the North Shore Scenic Railroad. Enjoy no hassles of driving into Canal Park and finding parking. Take the train from the Edgewater Hotel to the greatest holiday light show. Bentleyville opens November 23 and runs through December 28.
What began as simply decorating the home for the holidays has now become the largest holiday light display in America. With a 128-foot tree as its centerpiece, Bentleyville grows each year with expanded displays and offerings for visitors so even if you came last year; it will be different this year.
Admission is free, however; donations are graciously accepted at various points in the park. Visitors to Duluth’s Bentleyville will enjoy free coffee, cocoa and cookies as well as meeting various holiday characters including Santa and his reindeer. Visitors are also encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item for the Salvation Army.
Stay at the toasty Edgewater and let us make your holiday experience one to remember! Your room includes use of all facilities at the Edgewater as well as access to the train to Bentleyville on Friday & Saturday nights. The kids will enjoy waiting for the train with Mrs. Claus and Tiki Tom while they sip on cocoa and nibble on cookies. Reserve now as these date book quickly!

November is here and with it comes the history of Lake Superior’s infamous gales. We all know the tragic story of the famed Edmund Fitzgerald which has made the largest of the great lakes one to fear during this month. In Duluth, we remember and celebrate the Great Lakes maritime history with the Gales of November on November 2 with the Lake Superior Marine Museum Associations day of events. Bring the family to learn about the Great Lakes, the many shipwrecks of the area and other maritime history.
Disney fans will enjoy the November 14 Disney on Ice event at Amsoil Arena. This show is always a thrill as skaters retell three Disney fairy tales. This is one show that all the little princes and princesses will love!
The largest craft show in the area, Festival of Trees, is November 23 & 24 at the Duluth Entertainment & Convention Center. The Junior League of Duluth makes this a great fundraising event and a wonderful shopping experience for everyone to get a few one-of-a-kind gifts for friends and family.
The greatest holiday light show opens at Bayfront Festival Park November 23 and runs through December 28. If you have not toured Bentleyville yet, then you need to come this year.
